कोल्हापुर : काही महिन्यांपूर्वी राज्यभरामध्ये नको त्या कारणाने चर्चेत आलेल्या विशाळगडासंदर्भात कोल्हापूर पोलिसांनी मोठा निर्णय घेतला आहे. जुलै महिन्यामध्ये विशाळगडाच्या पायथ्याशी झालेल्या हिंसाचारामुळे या किल्ल्यावर संचारबंदी लागू करण्यात आली होती. सदर घटनेला पाच महिन्यांहून अधिक कालावधी उलटल्यानंतर आता प्रशासनाने संचारबंदी उठवली आहे.
विशाळगडाच्या पायथ्याशी झालेल्या हिंसाचारानंतर
त्यामुळेच आता पर्यटक आणि शिवभक्तांना सकाळी 10 ते सायंकाळी 5 या वेळेत गडावर जाता येणार आहे. मात्र संचारबंदी उठवताना काही नियम आणि अटी घालण्यात आल्या आहेत. विशाळगड आणि विशाळगडाच्या पायथ्याशी झालेल्या हिंसाचारानंतर कोल्हापूर पोलिसांनी 14 जुलैपासून विशाळगडावर संचारबंदी लागू केली होती. मात्र आता तब्बल पाच महिन्यानंतर प्रशासनाने 31 जानेवारीपर्यंत ही संचारबंदी तत्वत: उठवण्यात आली आहे. त्यामुळेच आता सकाळी 10 ते सायंकाळी 5 पर्यत संचारबंदी शिथिल करण्यात आली आहे.
त्यामुळे पर्यटकासाठी विशाळगड दिवसातील 7 तासांसाठी का असेना खुला झाला आहे. पण ही परवानगी देत असताना जिल्हा प्रशासनाने पर्यटकांना अनेक अटी घातल्या आहेत.

> किल्ले विशाळगडावर पर्यटक आणि भक्तांना सकाळी 10 ते 5 या वेळेतच जाता येणार आहे. 5 वाजल्यानंतर कोणालाही किल्ल्यावर प्रेवेश दिला जाणार नाही.
> विशालगडावर जात असताना कोणत्याही प्रकारचे मांस घेऊन जाता येणार नाही. किंवा त्या ठिकाणी मांस शिजवून खाता येणार नाही.
> गडावर जाणाऱ्या प्रत्येक पर्यटक/भक्ताची पोलिसांकडून तपासणी केली जाणार आहे.
> कोणत्याही संघटनेच्या व्यक्तींना गडावर आंदोलन किंवा निदर्शने करता येणार नाही.
> विशाळगड या ठिकाणी कोणताही धार्मिक किंवा इतर कार्यक्रम घ्यायचा असेल तर पोलीस प्रशासन आणि संबंधित विभागाची परवानगी घेणे बंधनकारक आहे.
जुलै महिन्यातील हिंसाचारानंतर या ठिकाणी पोलिसांचा खडा पाहरा ठेवण्यात आला आहे. गडाच्या तळाशीच पोलिसांचा मागील पाच महिन्यांपासून एक तळ असून या ठिकाणी कायम पहारा ठेवला जात आहे. आता याच ठिकाणी गडावर जाणाऱ्यांची तपासणी करुन त्यांना गडावर जाण्यास परवानगी दिली जाणार आहे. धार्मिक मतभेदांमुळे विशालगडावर हिंसाचाराच्या घटना घडल्यानंतर येथील वातावरण चांगलेच तापले होते. तेव्हापासूनच या भागामध्ये तणावपूर्ण शांतता असून कायम इथे पोलिसांचा पहारा दिसून येतो. आता येथे लागू करण्यात आलेल्या संचारबंदीमध्ये थोडा दिलासा देण्यात आला आहे.
The restrictions on devotees and tourists visiting Vishalgad have been eased after almost six months of the violence that broke out at the site in July last year following a dispute over encroachments.
The administration had then imposed the restrictions under Section 37 of the Maharashtra Police Act. But, people living around the fort and in the villages at the foothill had since been demanding the withdrawal of the curbs, citing the Urs of the centuries-old Rehan Malik Dargah from Jan 12. During the Urs, a large number of devotees visit the dargah to pay their respects.
Shahuwadi tehsildar Ramling Chavan issued an order in this regard under the powers bestowed upon him by BNSS 2023’s Section 163. According to the order, devotees and tourists visiting the historic fort will be allowed entry from 10am to 5pm only. The police have been asked to make arrangements to help devotees and tourists pass. There is a total ban on tourists and devotees staying at the fort after 5pm.
After the violence, only the residents of Vishalgad and Gajapur village were allowed entry into the area, but they had to pass through the checkpost set up at Kembhurniwadi. “For any religious function or any other event, the permission of the local authority is mandatory. As per the Bombay HC’s order, there is a ban on taking any non-vegetarian food or cooking any non-vegetarian food on the fort,” the order stated.
Certain outfits have threatened to perform aarti at Vishalgad if the restrictions were revoked. They have demanded that no religious event should be allowed on the fort till the encroachments were cleared.
